Steven Westberg, MBA
I started my career in the extraordinarily difficult aviation industry (capital and labor and information intensive, highly cyclical, low margin, regulated and competitive. And glamorous). I’ve applied what I learned there across several industries, including SaaS, cloud computing, and a 4,000-employee residential technology installation company.
I’ve led the restructuring of several struggling companies (including some on the cusp of bankruptcy), and I’ve guided companies to and through several exits, including a traditional IPO, a public listing through a SPAC merger, a private equity-led majority recap, a sale to a strategic buyer and a sale to a financial buyer.
Business, I think, is fascinating. I enjoy working together as a team to achieve success in the face of multiple challenges and opportunities.
I have an MBA from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in, yes, Architectural Psychology (my parents had the same reaction).
When not working, I’m often outside. I have climbed, thus far, 42 of the 50 state high points and two international high points, including Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro.
