Kady Gerhart

I lead recruiting at Ascent CFO Solutions, where I’m focused on building our internal team of fractional CFOs, controllers, and accounting & finance professionals. I spent more than 10 years in agency search before joining Ascent, specializing in finance & accounting recruiting and later leading executive and technical searches for PE-backed and high-growth companies. That experience shaped how I hire here; after years of sitting on the client side of searches, I know exactly what companies need from their finance partners, and I bring that bar to every person who joins our team. Fractional work takes a particular kind of professional: deep technical skill along with the adaptability and judgment to step into a new business and add value from day one. Finding those people is what I do and enjoy!

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (go Badgers!), which gave me an early appreciation for how finance drives every part of a business.

My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2016, and we’re very lucky to be raising our three kids here. Most of my time outside of work is spent keeping up with our kids and golden retriever, along with planning whatever adventure is next on the calendar!
