  • Ascent CFO’s team was at the client site immediately after the change and took responsibility for the finance, accounting and FP&A teams. Ascent CFO’s interim leadership helped Reside improve its financial reporting to the Board of Directors, facilitated the prior year’s tax return, conducted a financial statement review and restatement, and assisted the executive team with sourcing and hiring a permanent CFO and Controller.

  • Using Ascent CFO for interim CFO and Controller support, Nordic Ice underwent a transformation that included recalculating standard inventory costs, transitioning the financials to full accrual basis, completing a customized CapEx analysis and implementing a new, fully integrated financial model. Ultimately this transformation prepared Nordic Ice for a successful sale to Endeavour Capital.

    Ascent CFO subsequently assumed an interim CFO role for six months until a full-time, permanent CFO was hired by the company.

 
 
 
  • Ascent CFO’s expert team handled maintaining the data room and presenting the financials to prospective buyers, modeling future cash flows, reengineering the client’s financial reporting process, and implementing strategies to save cash and improve margins. Ascent CFO even went as far as to challenge a prospective buyer’s IRR analysis, pointing out errors in assumptions, moving the IRR needle and expected cash flow significantly.

    A signed purchase agreement was the final outcome of this engagement.
